Hotcoin serves over 8.1 million users in more than 120 countries and regions worldwide. User figures as of June 30, 2026.
Hotcoin does not provide services to users or beneficiaries from the following countries or regions:
1. High-Risk Jurisdictions – Services Not Available
Afghanistan, Botswana, Burundi, Cameroon, Chad, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Côte d’Ivoire, Cuba, Eritrea, Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, Haiti, Iran, Iraq, China, North Korea, Kyrgyzstan, Lebanon, Lesotho, Liberia, Libya, Mali, Myanmar, Niger, Somalia, Sudan, Syria, Uganda, United States, Yemen, and Zimbabwe.
Basis for Classification: Hotcoin classifies the above countries and regions as high-risk jurisdictions based on anti-money laundering and counter-terrorist financing (AML/CTF) risk assessments, international sanctions lists, the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) list of high-risk jurisdictions, and publicly available regulatory warnings. Hotcoin does not accept registrations, account openings, or trading activity from users in these countries or regions.
2. Restricted Jurisdictions – Enhanced Due Diligence Required
Angola, Bangladesh, Bahrain, Belarus, Bolivia, Burkina Faso, Cambodia, Central African Republic, Colombia, Comoros, Ecuador, Egypt, Equatorial Guinea, Ethiopia, Georgia, Greenland, Guatemala, Guinea-Bissau, Vatican City, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Israel, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Kenya, Kuwait, Laos, Madagascar, Malawi, Malaysia, Mauritania, Nigeria, Oman, Pakistan, Palestine, Papua New Guinea, Peru, Philippines, Russia, Qatar, Rwanda, São Tomé and Príncipe, Saudi Arabia, Sierra Leone, Solomon Islands, Sri Lanka, South Africa, Tajikistan, Timor-Leste, Togo, Türkiye, Turkmenistan, United Arab Emirates, Uzbekistan, Venezuela, Vietnam, and Zambia.
Basis for Classification: Hotcoin classifies the above countries and regions as restricted jurisdictions based on AML/CTF risk assessments, changes in the regulatory environment, international sanctions, and regulatory warnings. Users from these countries or regions may apply for an account but will be subject to enhanced due diligence.
Documents Required for Enhanced Due Diligence
Users in restricted jurisdictions may be required to provide some or all of the following during onboarding or subsequent reviews:
- Proof of Identity: A valid passport, national ID card, or other government-issued photo identification.
- Proof of Address: A utility bill, bank statement, government correspondence, or lease agreement issued within the past three months and showing the user’s name and residential address.
- Source of Funds: Bank statements, payslips, tax records, proof of investment income, or other documents demonstrating the lawful source of funds.
- Source of Wealth: For high-net-worth users or large transactions, supporting documents may include proof of business ownership, asset sale agreements, inheritance documents, or similar records.
- Purpose of Transactions: Users may be required to provide a written explanation of the purpose of their use of Hotcoin services, together with their expected trading frequency and volume.
- Additional Questionnaires or Interviews: Hotcoin may require users to complete additional questionnaires or participate in a video interview for verification purposes.
- Tax Residency Declaration: Users may be required to declare their tax residency so that Hotcoin can meet applicable reporting obligations.
The documents required will depend on the review conducted by the Hotcoin compliance team. Hotcoin may request additional documents where reasonably necessary based on its risk assessment.
3. Other Jurisdictions
Users from all other jurisdictions are subject to standard due diligence and onboarding procedures under our AML/CTF Program.
What Happens If Your Country or Region of Residence Changes
If a user’s country or region of residence changes after account opening, the user must promptly notify Hotcoin. The following measures may apply:
- Relocation to a High-Risk Jurisdiction: If a user relocates to a jurisdiction listed under Section 1, Hotcoin may take appropriate measures under the User Agreement, including but not limited to restricting account functions, suspending services, or closing the account.
- Relocation to a Restricted Jurisdiction: If a user relocates to a jurisdiction listed under Section 2, the user must notify Hotcoin and complete the required enhanced due diligence. Certain account functions may be restricted until the review is completed.
- Relocation to Another Jurisdiction: If a user relocates to another jurisdiction, Hotcoin will update the user’s information under its standard procedures and may conduct standard due diligence where appropriate.
Users are responsible for ensuring that the residential information provided to Hotcoin is true, accurate, and complete, and for updating it promptly after any change. Hotcoin shall not be liable for account restrictions or service interruptions resulting from a user’s failure to provide timely notice of such changes.

- Hotcoin may update this list from time to time in accordance with legal, regulatory, and compliance requirements. The latest version published on this page will apply. Users are encouraged to review this page regularly.
- Users are responsible for confirming whether their jurisdiction falls within any of the categories listed above. If you are unsure, please contact Hotcoin Customer Support.
- Hotcoin reserves the right to take any measures it considers necessary with respect to any account in accordance with applicable laws and regulatory requirements, including but not limited to restricting trading, suspending services, or closing the account.

- This page sets out the Service Regions List referred to in Section 2.1 of the User Agreement. If this page conflicts with any other provision of the User Agreement, the User Agreement shall prevail.
